Flexibility and Resiliency

"Nothing in the world is more flexible and yielding than water. Yet when it attacks the firm and the strong, none can withstand it, because they have no way to change it. So the flexible overcome the adamant, the yielding overcome the forceful. Everyone know this, but no one can do it." ~ Lao Tzu

Thoughts:
Relinquish your hold on experiences that don't serve you.
Be willing to let go and move on.
Be open to changes in your plans and have back up strategies.
Switch gears.

I really like that. I would imagine with time and mulling over in my mind, it will be even more meaningful.

I don't know how to get there.... how to maintain that kind of flexibility over time. Maybe it's something that needs to be constantly renewed in one's mind.

Hey....I didn't know you had a blog! Lovely!
Yes, I agree that the strength to be flexible trumps the other kind, usually. The willow compared to the oak.
I saw that article about walking too. And now that I have a little dog to take out twice a day I think it will be easy to get my miles in.
